Dramatic Irony
Dramatic Irony happens when the audience knows something the characters do not. The biggest example of Dramatic Irony is during the Trial of Justine Mortiz. We know that Justine is innocent, because the Creature is the real murderer. But most all of the characters believe it is Justine who killed William.

Tragic Irony
Tragic Irony is when the words and actions of the characters contradict the real situation, which the spectators fully realize. A good example of this is when the Creature says he will see Victor "on his wedding night" We, as the audience, assume he will kill the bride, because that is what the Creature has been doing, and threatening the whole story. But Victor believes the Creature is going to try and kill him.
